POSITION: Ground Support Technician / HGV
LOCATION: Birmingham Airport
STATUS: Full Time – 40 Hours Monday to Friday from 0800 to 1600
SALARY: £35,000 to £40,000 (Depending upon experience)

Aviation Recruitment Network Limited are a leading agency that supports staffing solutions for all major Airports across the UK with operations from Gatwick to Edinburgh. Working closely in partnership with a global client who is now seeking a Ground Support Engineer / Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join them.
Our client is an established organisation that specialises in maintenance and service of ground equipment and vehicle within the airport. Due to continuous growth, they are now seeking mechanical engineer’s to join them on a permanent basis at their Birmingham Airport site.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosis and repair on Fleet, HGV & GSE vehicles. You will work in a team orientated environment that accelerates operational efficiency. You will be a self-starter with strong industry knowledge and experience who can multitask, organise and prioritise work. You will be required to carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT and service and repair vehicles to the manufacturer’s standard.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• You will also be required to undertake fast and accurate fault diagnosis using diagnostic equipment.
• The ability to read and understand designs and schematics and Specialist training will be given.

DESIRED SKILL

• hold a class 2 licence would be ideal but not essential.
• Basis literacy & numeracy
• Successfully pass security checks (5-year Background check, Criminal records)
• Ability to make good judgement & communication skills
